The City of Harrisburg adopted a new TIF District just before the end of 2013, and it has seen a significant spark in economic development activity from local businesses and developers. The use of TIF has allowed downtown Harrisburg to see renovation and improvements to one of its largest commercial buildings, a homegrown hardware store, and several other local businesses.
